Isaac Go has no doubt Thirdy Ravena will only fly to greater and greater heights in Japan

Thirdy Ravena will be the first Asian import in Japan's B.League - and he himself willed into existence that history-making feat.

"I'm really excited for him because he's always talked about going abroad," Ateneo de Manila University teammate Isaac Go said a day after it became official that Ravena will be suiting up for San-En NeoPhoenix. "He's always wanted to see what it's like to be a professional outside the Philippines and to gauge himself to the level of competition out there. Now, he gets a chance to do it."

Go and Ravena, alongside Nieto twins Mike and Matt, were key cogs in the Blue Eagles' three-peat-winning core.

And for the 6-foot-7 big man, it's no surprise that the three-time Finals MVP is about to make a splash outside the Philippines. As he put it, "I've known him for a long time and have been a part of his journey both as a teammate and as a competitor. The one thing he always talks about is getting better and this opportunity just shows that's he's put in the work to become the best he can be."

He then continued, "This just shows how much he's worked to get to this position because not everyone gets an offer like this - it is only reserved for select few."

That is exactly why Go knows full well that Ravena will still fly high - even as an Asian import. "I know he's gonna do great over there. I can't wait to see him ball over there," he said.
