De La Salle University is making sure its wings remain a position of strength.
The Green Archers are shoring up a group that had lost Mythical selection Jamie Malonzo by securing the services of University of Perpetual Help scoring machine Emman Galman.
"Dream school ko po ito," he said. "And besides, maganda po ang program nila when it comes to student-athletes."
The 6-foot-2 swingman scored 17.7 points per game, fifth-best in the league, for the Jr. Altas in NCAA 95 to go along with 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals.
Injuries, however, sidelined him late in the season as Perps missed out on the Final Four.
Now, the fearless gunner with quite a few finishes at the rim will join a La Salle side ushering in a new era under seasoned tactician Derrick Pumaren.
Galman and fellow new faces CJ Austria, Joshua David, and Joshua Ramirez fortify a forward group that already includes Tyrus, Hill, Kurt Lojera, Joaqui Manuel and Encho Serrano.
Galman and Austria are yet to finish high school, however, and will only be eligible, as of the moment, for the Green Archers in UAAP 84.
Come that time, Galman has a guarantee. "Pinapangako ko po sa La Salle na ibibigay ko lahat ng makakara ko. Gagawin ko ang lahat upang makapag-iwan ng marka sa taong maglalaro ako para sa La Salle," he said.
