Who christened Adamson the “Soaring Falcons?”

September 08, 2017

No less than Adamson Univeristy’s founder, Mr. George Lucas Adamson (a Greek chemist from Athens), gave the moniker “Soaring Falcons.” Sports is an honored tradition at Adamson. The school encourages its athletes to rise above and soar like falcons by doing good in both sports and academics. According to its website, “The University believes that physical education, which finds its full expression in competitive sports, is an essential component of the students’ holistic development. Hard work, sportsmanship, team spirit, and diligence in studies are some of the values instilled among the athletes.”

Like Ateneo de Manila University (whose mascot is an eagle), Adamson University’s school colors are blue and white.
