Santiago set to march in PSL, V-League fronts
Nasanay na rin naman siguro ako (maglaro sa dalawang liga) -- NU middle blocker Jaja Santiago

National University star middle blocker Jaja Santiago will again be crossing over two leagues after a disappointing finish in the 78th UAAP women's volleyball tournament last month.

The national team standout is looking to help Foton to a second straight title after the Tornadoes captured the 2015 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix when the country's premier club league unfurls its fourth season on June starting with the All-Filipino Conference.

At the same time, the 6-foot-5 player is scheduled to suit up for the Lady Bulldogs, which failed to advance in the UAAP Final Four for the first time in four years,  in the V-League Open Conference opening on May 22.

The two leagues' schedule will overlap but Santiago doesn't seem to mind.

"Ewan ko, nasanay na rin naman siguro ako (maglaro sa dalawang liga)," said the national team mainstay. "Kasi gaya last time may V-League tapos may PSL tapos may Under-23."

Last year Santiago helped NU conquer the SVL Collegiate Conference and also won the Open crown for PLDT.

She's exempted from the PSL rule on exclusivity of players participating in league as Santiago is set to represent her school team in the SVL and not a club squad.

"Siguro kailangan ko lang alagaan ang sarili ko kasi dalawa (na liga) ang pinaglalaruan ko, bawal ma-injure bawal ang anything na makakababa ng laro," she added.

Aside from the said leagues, Santiago is expected to play for Foton in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Women's Club Championships on September 3 to 11 and may be tapped for the highly-anticipated FIVB World Women's Club Championship on October 18-23.
