Nag-relax lang talaga sobra and I guess siguro nagkanya-kanya -- Pocari Sweat assistant coach Rommel Abella
Pocari Sweat already yielded Game 1 in the fourth set.
Lady Warriors assistant coach Rommel Abella said that his wards were already out of the game even before they returned inside the court for the decider.
“Kasi hindi na kami naglaro as a team noong patapos na ang fourth set so sabi ko nga sa kanila kanina, this is a team event so bawat kilos namin ang iisipin namin dapat is ‘yung team kung makakaganda ba or hindi,” said Abella.
But his pleads fell on deaf ears as Pocari Sweat absorbed a 25-17, 20-25, 25-15, 24-26, 11-15, loss to Philippine Air Force to fall, 0-1, in the best-of-three Finals series of the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference at the PhilSports Arena Wednesday night.
Ahead 20-14 in the fourth set with a 2-1 match advantage, the Lady Warriors made a grave mistake of relaxing and the Jet Spikers took the opportunity.
“Nag-relax lang talaga sobra and I guess siguro nagkanya-kanya,” he said.
Now Pocari Sweat is on the same predicament they were in the semifinals where they needed to win the next two games against BaliPure to advcance in Finals.
They now need to take Game 2 on Saturday to even the score.
