FEU tramples UST in straight sets, wins third straight
Far Eastern University easily submitted University of Sto. Tomas to remain undefeated in three games.

Far Eastern University capitalized on University of Sto. Tomas’ lack of firepower to bag their third straight win in straight sets, 25-14, 25-18, 25-23, Wednesday night in Group B action of the 13th V-League Collegiate Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The Lady Tamaraws kept their clean sheet intact to join University of the Philippines on top of the standings with 3-0 win-loss cards.

Toni Rose Basas uncorked 19 points while Heather Guino-o had nine markers for FEU, which earned a 1-0 carryover record heading to the quarterfinals.

The Lady Tams will take on the Lady Maroons on Saturday at the close of the prelims.

UST played without Cherry Rondina and EJ Laure, who both played in the championship of a club league, and absorbed their second straight loss to close the prelims with a 2-2 slate and will bringing a carryover 0-2 record in the next phase.

Nobody on the Tigresses' side scored in double figures with high school star and guest player Eya Laure limited to only nine points.
