Santiago bags Collegiate Conference MVP

MISS MVP --- Jaja Santiago of National University won her first Conference MVP award.
Towering National University star Jaja Santiago bagged the Most Valuable Player award on Wednesday in the 13th V-League Collegiate Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The 6-foot-5 incoming fourth year middle bested the rest of the field with her stellar performance in leading the Lady Bulldogs back in the Finals in its back-to-back bid.
Santiago, who starred for Foton Pilipinas’ seventh place finish in the 2016 AVC Asian Women’s Club Championship recently, also won the 1st Best Middle Blocker award.
Santiago and NU could bag their third title with a win in Game 2 of their best-of-three series against Ateneo de Manila. The game is ongoing as of posting time.
Another Lady Bulldog received a recognition with Jorelle Singh winning the 2nd Best Outside Spiker award.
Far Eastern University’s Remy Palma and Toni Rose Basas won the 2nd Best Middle Blocker and Best Opposite Hitter, respectively.
Wrapping up the citations were University of the Philippines’ Isa Molde (1st Best Outside Spiker) and Ateneo de Manila’s Gizelle Tan (Best Libero) and Jia Morado (Best Setter).
