Philippine Air Force begins another campaign to claim the elusive V-League crown.
After letting a golden opportunity to bag a title slip off its hands, Philippine Air Force begins its quest for the crown anew when the Lady Jet Spikers take on the University of Sto. Tomas Golden Tigresses on Saturday in the 13th V-League Reinforced Conference opener at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
PAF and UST begin action at 6:00 p.m. and the match will air live over ABS-CBN S+A channel 23, S+A HD channel 166 and via livestream on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/vleague.
Eight teams will vie for the title vacated by PLDT Home Ultera after skipping the tournament. The import-laden conference allows each squad to field two local or foreign imports.
The Lady Jet Spikers are considered to be one of the title-favorites after a breakthrough finals appearance last year. PAF almost had the title in their hands after winning the best-of-three series opener against Pocari Sweat.
However, the Lady Warriors found a way to crawl back and won the next two games to deny the Lady Jet Spikers the crown.
Returning Philippine Coast Guard Lady Dolphins and Laoag Power Smashers open the double-header playdate with their pairing at 4:00 p.m. and will air on a delayed basis.
Also seeing action in the season-ending tournament are Bureau of Customs, Pocari Sweat, University of the Philippines and BaliPure.
Here’s the elimination round schedule:
