Alyssa Valdez will help reinforce the team with her superb all-around game in offense and in defense -- 3BB Nakornnont's Facebook statement
Filipina volleyball star Alyssa Valdez is taking her talents to Thailand starting 2017.
In their FB account, Thai team 3BB Nakornnont on Christmas eve announced that they tapped the 23-year old former Ateneo de Manila University star to beef up their roster for the second round of the Thailand League.
The three-time UAAP Most Valuable Player that led the Lady Eagles to back-to-back titles in the UAAP in Season 76 and 77 will also play in the Thai-Denmark Super League where 3BB is looking to improve from its fifth place finish last year.
“Alyssa Valdez will help reinforce the team with her superb all-around game in offense and in defense,” according to the statement of the squad posted on their FB page wall.
Valdez will be reunited with former 13th V-League Reinforced Conference teammates Kanjana Kuthaisong and Nattanicha Jaisaen. The trio led the Bureau of Customs to a runner-up finish behind the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors a month ago.
Set to play in the Thai-Denmark Super League, the three-time V-League MVP could meet a selection of Philippine Superliga players in the competition in March.
