Filipina volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez finally saw action in the Thailand League Saturday but 3BB Nakornnont fell short against powerhouse Bangkok Glass, 19-25, 19-25, 20-25.

The former three-time UAAP Most Valuable Player started for 3BB, sat out the second set before a brief return in the third frame.

The Pleumjit Thinkaow-led Bangkok Glass improved to 9-1 win-loss record while sending 3BB Nakornnont to a 5-4 slate.

Valdez, who led Ateneo de Manila to back-to-back titles in the UAAP in Season 76 and 77, skipped 3BB Nakornnont’s second round opening day 26-24, 25-20, 25-23 win against King-Bangkok last Sunday.

The team decided to sit her out last week after a delay in her International Transfer Certificate.
