Generika survives Sta. Lucia in marathon PSL match

Geneveve Casugod and co. kept their bid for a fourth place finish in the 2017 Super Liga Invitational Conference alive.
They needed five sets this time around but the Generika-Ayala Life Savers nonetheless repeated over Sta. Lucia in the 2017 Philippine Super Liga Invitational Conference.
Starting the clasification round, Generika was able to pull off a come-from-behind 25-19, 23-25, 25-27, 25-18, 15-12 win over the Lady Realtors Thursday at the San Juan Arena.
The Life Savers, who finished with a 2-3 record in the regular season, thus kept their bid alive for fourth place.
Geneveve Casugod took over for Generika in the grind-out contest, dropping a career-high 25 points. Three other players scored in double figures for the Life Savers led by 14 from Fiola Ceballos and 13 points from Angeli Araneta. Patty Orendain was good for 11 markers.
Losing control at the end of the third set, Generika was able to regain control just in time to avoid an upset at the hands of Sta. Lucia.
Jannine Navarro paced the Lady Realtors with 26 points.
