The national team’s training is scheduled every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Arellano University gym in Taft Avenue.
“Start na kami ng practice bukas kasi ngayon inaasikaso pa namin ang mga documents ng mga players sa PSC,” said national team assistant coach Brian Esquibel on Thursday.
The deputy of head coach Francis Vicente added that Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. will submit the national team lineup to the Philippine Sports Commission’s SEAG secretariat for the entry by names to the Malaysian SEA Games Organizing Committee within the day.
The Pinay spikers will also have a training camp in Japan and China from July 18 to August 3 before participating in the AVC Asian Women’s Seniors Championship to be held in the Philippines from August 9 to 17 as their last prep up for the 29th edition of the biennial meet.
Superstar Alyssa Valdez and team captain Mika Reyes lead the crack squad together with libero Denden Lazaro, Kim Fajardo, Rhea Dimaculangan, Maika Ortiz, Gen Casugod, Aby Marano, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Jaja Santiago and Ces Molina.
De La Salle star libero Dawn Macandili and veteran Rachel Anne Daquis are the team’s reserve players.
