Petron returns to win column
NO ENTRY --- Petron's American import Lindsay Stalzer turned back the attack of Dimdim Pacres of Victoria Sports-University of Sto. Tomas.

Petron bounced back mightily from a painful loss last weekend with a dominating straight sets win over guest team Victoria Sports-University of Sto. Tomas, 25-16, 25-14, 25-14, Thursday in the 2017 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Blaze Spikers, who came off a sorry four-set loss to F2 Logistics in Bacolod City last Saturday, returned in the win column for their fourth win in five outings.

Petron went into work early as the Blaze Spikers easily dismantled the young Tigresses squad.

"'Yung ginalaw naman ng team nakita naman namin na happy na ulit," said Petron coach Shaq delos Santos.

"'Yun kasi ang nawala sa amin noong last game," he added. "So good thing lang naging purpose so sorbang laking tulong sa amin."

Aiza Maizo-Pontillas delivered 10 points while Remy Palma and American import Lindsay Stalzer had eight markers apiece for the Blaze Spikers, who had the luxury of shuffling their personnel to give the college girls a very good fight.

Petron punished the Tigresses at the attack zone, 45-26.

Dimdim Pacres was the lone bright spot with 10 points for Victoria Sports-UST, which fell to 0-2.
