Beach Volleyball Republic is back in business and Ilocos Sur gets the first leg to start the 2018 Tour.

Ichthus Beach in Magsingal will host the two-day joust featuring 25 teams in both the men's and women's division.

2017 national champion Jade Becaldo of Cebu will start the new year with a new partner, teamming up with Ford Libres to form Cebu 1 in men's play.

Meanwhile, KR Guzman, one half of UST's Golden Pair that ran amok on Tour last year, will also have a new teammate in the veteran Henry Pecaana to represent the UST Thunders.

Completing the men's field are Pol Salvador and James Buytrago of NU; Joel Villonson and Jayson Uy for Army; Jayson Ramos and EJ Ramos of Team Ramos; Jessie Lopez and RanRan Abdilla of Airforce 1; Raffy Mosuela and Jeffrey Malabanan of Airforce 2; Chris Macasaet and Renz Casanova of DLSUAAi; Kevin Juban and Raphy Abanto of Cebu 2; Pemie Bagalay and Alfred Valbuena of Team Manila; Jason Requinton and Efraim Dimaculangan of UST; Gilbret Longvela and Calvin Sarte of Perlas; and finally, returning to BVR straight from Hong Kong, Brian Nordberg and Giovanni Musillo.

In women's play, the BVR co-founders are in full force led by Charo Soriano and Dzi Gervacio forming Perlas 1 while Bea Tan will be suiting up with Amanda Villanueva for Perlas 2.

Amy Ahomiro and Gizella Tan make up Perlas 3.

The rest of the field include Judy Caballejo and Coyah Abanto for Airforce 1; Jossa Calbasa and Jen Manzano for Airforce 2; Dhamae Demontano and Jackie Estoquia for Iloilo; Louann Latigay and Maru Banaticla for PLDT; Jem Gutierrez and Nene Baustista for ARMY 1; Christine Agno and Jeanine Delos Reyes for ARMY 2; Rapril Auilar and Danika Gerandrauli for Cebu; Ivana AGudo and MJ Ebro for FEU; and finallu, Babylove Barbon and Genesa Eslapor for UST.

Champion teams will win P50,000 each while second placers get P30,000. The third place teams will receive P20,000 as prize.
