Puerto Galera gets first dibs for VisMin this year as BVR sets up its second leg of the 2018 Tour this weekend with 16 teams in both the men's and women's divisions.
2018 is the year Beach Volleyball Republic expands its influence in the Philippines.
And the first step to that is consistently going outside Luzon for tournaments.

Leading the women's linuep is Team Air Force composed of Coyah Abanto and Judy Caballejo, winners of the first leg last month in Ilocos Sur.
The rest of the field include Charo Soriano and Bea Tan of Perlas 1, Amy Ahomiro and Gizelle Tan of Perlas 2, Queen Virtusio and Ranielle Rosales of UST 2, MJ Ebro and Rizale Amaro of FEU, Jane Diaz and Pauline Genido of Navy, Babylove Barbon and Genesa Slapor of UST, as well as Chleo Gabrielle Gomes and Tan Shiang Theng.
In men's play, leg 1 champ KR Guzman will have a new teammate in Pemie Bagalay and they will go up against Jade Becaldo and Calvin Sarte of Ato ni Bai, AJ Pareja and Tony Koyfman of Team Jemster, Pol Salvador and James Buytrago of NU, Jeff Malabanan and Ranran Abdilla of Air Force, Michael Reyes and Jason Uy of Army, Roldan Medina and Milover Parcon of Navy, and finally, Jaron Requinton and Efraim Dimaculangan of UST.
"BVR has always been frequent in Northern parts of Luzon hitting Cagayan Province, Ilocos, Pangasinan and La Union," Fille Cainglet-Cayetano said.
"This year it is in our plans to expand to other coastal communities of the Philippines specifically Southern Luzon areas, Visayas, and Mindanao," she added.
Dream Wave Hotel will host the Puerto Galera leg of BVR on Tour 2018 on Feb. 24-25.
