Santiago sisters Dindin and Jaja will make their respective debuts in the Japan V. Premier League.
Towering sisters Jaja Santiago and Dindin Santiago-Manabat are set to make their debuts for their respective clubs in the Japan V. Premier League Saturday.
Despite playing in their first-ever international club league, expectations are high for the Foton recruits - the first Pinay imports in the prestigious tournament in one of Asia's volleyball giants.
Six-foot-5 Jaja Santiago will get the first test as she marches into battle with the Ageo Medics against Kurobe in the first of the five-bill playdate in the 11-club field.
The Medics will then face the PFU Blue Cats on Sunday.
Santiago-Manabat on the other hand will banner the Toray Arrows against one of the title-favorites in powerhouse Hisamitsu Springs in the nightcap.
Meanwhile, five-time UAAP MVP Marck Espejo and the Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler shoot for a chance to barge in the win column in a showdown with the unbeaten Toyota Gosei Trefuerza on Saturday in men's play.
The Weisse Adler are winless in two outings while the Trefuerza share the lead with Panasonic and JTEKT with 2-0 slate.
