The Filipino entertainment sphere was stunned Saturday night with the sudden passing of comedian and industry veteran Jonathan Aguilar Garcia, or Chokoleit. He was 46.

Chokoleit was performing in an out-of-town show in Abra where he experienced difficulty in breathing. He was rushed to a provincial hospital where he would pass away from pulmonary edema and a heart attack.

He has long been a staple of ABS-CBN movies and teleseryes, with his most iconic role coming from the 2004 hit fantasy series 'Marina'.

Fellow celebrities, including Vice Ganda immediately took to social media to mourn the passing of the comedian.

Chokoleit's passing not only left a hole in Filipino showbiz, it also signaled a farewell to one of Pinoy volleyball's staunchest supporters.

Chokoleit had an Instagram post dating as far back as 2013, and Tweets from 2017 showing the comedian's pure love for the sport.

From the Premier Volleyball League, to the UAAP, Chokoleit was there.

Creamline Cool Smasher Alyssa Valdez knew this all along, and offered her tribute to the departed showman.

Rest In Peace, Chokoleit.
