SEA GAMES: 12 players show up in Day 2 of National Team training

Twelve players attended Day 2 of the national women's volleyball team training.
Just 12 of the 22-woman national women’s volleyball team showed up in Day 2 of training on Thursday at the Arellano University Gym in Taft.
Team captain Aby Marano, Alyssa Valdez and Fil-American Kalei Mau, who recently transferred to F2 Logistics in the Philippine Superliga following the disbandment of United VC, led the list of players who attended the short training session overseen by assistant coaches Kungfu Reyes and Bryan Esquibel.
Head coach Shaq Delos Santos is scheduled to arrive Thursday night from a family vacation in Hong Kong.
Also joining the team practice composed of basic service and service receive drills were Jema Galanza, Mika Reyes, Jia Morado, Mylene Paat, Ces Molina, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Majoy Baron, Eya Laure, who is still wearing protective boot on her injured left foot, and Celine Domingo.
The squad, which is preparing for the 30th Southeast Asian Games in Manila in November, is currently working on their practice schedule with most of its players currently playing for their respective club teams in the Premier Volleyball League and the PSL, which is set to begin its All-Filipino Conference on Saturday.
Other members of the pool are sisters Dindin Santiago-Manabat and Jaja Santiago, Denden Lazaro, Dawn Macandili, MJ Phillips, Kath Arado, Tots Carlos, Angel Cayuna, Jerrili Malabanan, Kalei Mau, and Alohi Robins-Hardy.
