Kim Chiu shows support to PHI women's volleyball team
Kim Chiu goes all-out in cheering for the Philippine national women's volleyball team.

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu joined the rest of the nation as they cheered for the Philippine national women's volleyball team against Vietnam on Sunday in the inaugural ASEAN Grand Prix at the Terminal 21 Mall in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

A volleyball fan and enthusiast herself, Chiu took on social media to cheer and show her support to the Filipina spikers playing in the four-nation tournament.

The Nationals' did not disapppoint in their last game in the first leg of the tournament as they beat the Vietnamese,  25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 15-25, 15-12, for a bronze medal finish.

Chiu even commended  the impressive net defense of the Filipinas. The Nationals tallied 16 kill blocks overall with Majoy Baron, who was named Best Middle Blocker, scoring six denials while Ces Molina and Mylene Paat had four each.

Chiu was also able to catch the Filipinas' game against eventual leg champion host team Thailand on Saturday while on a taping.

Obviously, the actress cheered the loudest for her 2019 Star Magic All-Star Games Team Red teammates Jia Morado and  Eya Laure.

Although the Nationals lost the first two sets against the Thais, the Filipinas stole a set from the powerhouse squad to avoid a shutout.

Unfortunately, the Thais' firepower was just too much for the Nationals as they bowed down in four sets.

And comeback, the Filipinas did.
