Alyssa Valdez thanked ABS-CBN for its commitment to introduce and showcase the talents and skills of Filipino athletes to the world.
Valdez, arguably the most popular and talented volleyball player of this generation, expressed her gratitude to the network for sharing her and other athletes’ stories through coverage of games and programs that highlight the lives of athletes beyond sport.
The Creamline star on her Instagram post Thursday gave her thanks and support to the network, which went off air Tuesday night in compliance with the National Telecommunications Commission’s cease and desist order.
From her first game as a student-athlete of Ateneo de Manila University to her final flight in the UAAP up to her career in the Premier Volleyball League, fans were able to watch the ‘Phenom’ on free TV through ABS-CBN S+A.
ABS-CBN also produced a documentary on Valdez’s UAAP journey back in 2016.
The network also gave Valdez a chance to spread her wings beyond playing volleyball with hosting and game analyst stints to a few showbiz appearances.
Just like other athletes, Valdez expressed her support to the Kapamilya network, which is currently facing a battle to return back on air.
